01
Why this method
Many requirements remain implicit as long as users have nothing concrete in front of them. The first formulation of a requirement is therefore rarely the final version: it is a hypothesis that conversations, examples, prototypes and working software progressively refine.
AI changes the economics of this discovery process. A realistic prototype can now be produced early enough to become a learning tool rather than the result of a long specification phase.
Discarding an exploration version is not waste if it avoids putting the wrong product into production.
02
From request to need
Any first request is treated as an Observed Request, not as a final requirement.
The method asks why, for whom, in what situation, what decision it enables, which data is required, what happens next and what the exceptions are.
03
Core delivery loop
The ADM loop separates exploration from durable implementation. AI can assist every step, but human decisions remain explicit.
04
Continuous documentation
Documentation is not a final project phase. It starts when the first prototype creates something tangible and continues until production.
Capture hypotheses
Visible behaviours, first rules, data sources and open questions.
Capture decisions
Requirement changes, business rules, exceptions, Product Model and acceptance criteria.
Capture implementation
Architecture, components, APIs, dependencies, technical decisions and configuration.
Capture evidence
Tests, results, anomalies, Test Book, commits, versions and coverage.
Capture judgment
Accepted and rejected behaviours, arbitration and Human Acceptance.
Capture operations
Architecture Note, Deployment Guide, security, monitoring, ownership, support and runbook.
Documentation is generated with the product, not after the product.
05
Human gates
AI may analyze, infer, propose, generate and test. It does not silently decide that uncertainty has disappeared.
Business users challenge what they see and decide what must change.
The accountable business owner validates user-visible behaviour before industrialization.
Architecture, security, deployment, monitoring, ownership and support are verified.
